CHECK BACK HERE FOR THE ZOOM LINK.
Join us in creating space to take action against systemic racism, police brutality toward black folx, and white supremacy. We will be providing compiled lists of phone numbers, emails, addresses, as well as call/email/mail scripts to streamline our communication. We will also be providing compiled wellness resources, black artists & educators to support, ways to diversify your social media feed, and voting information.
We will create a Zoom meeting as a space for people to join while participating. This will be a no-audio, no-visual space in order to keep focus. We recognize that this is not where the work begins or ends, but we want to create this space for our community to foster continued engagement and education beyond the initial impact. We wish to keep this a collaborative space and encourage all participants to share their own resources and feedback. This will be a recurring event. Black Lives Matter.
Please check back for the Zoom link on the day of!

SCRIPT: I am calling on behalf of Elijah McClain. We demand that officers Nathan Woodward, Jason Rosenblatt, Randy Roedema, Matthew Green, and SGT Dale Leonard of the Aurora Police Department as well as LT. Peter Chichuniec and Medic Jeremy Cooper of Aurora Fire Rescue are fired immediately and charged for the murder of innocent Elijah McClain. We demand a public apology and admission of guilt, specifically on behalf of Dave Young, who found that the officers did not violate any criminal laws. Elijah McClain was a 23 year old man with limitless potential. Our world lost an incredible person and we demand justice. Take accountability. We also demand that you support SB20-217 (the police accountability and integrity act) in order to protect black and brown lives. Don't let this bill be watered down. End qualified immunity.
